I am looking outside at the pouring down rain, remembering the previous weeks sunshine. It seems like such a distant memory. A twisted little tease of things to come. I am ready for spring. I have lattice to put up. A nice grouping of plants and flowers waiting for pots and miracle grow on the back deck and freshly weeded and edged flower beds. Its time. I am done waiting. Growing and living in the Pacific Northwest I can appreciate grilling in the rain, hiking in the rain, yard work in the rain and even washing the car in the rain but my spring time yearnings are making me just a little stir crazy. I want to feel the new fresh shoots of gras

It looks like a beautiful winter postcard outside of my house. Time to bake cookies, drink hot cider and build frosty a family. (or the snow fort of death.) You have to love a snow day. The sheer joy of a cold nose and mittens and super static hair. I feel alive and domestic.
